A Different Alaska By Robin Rosemond

Sunday with Mother & Miss Kitty (Osama Been Forgotten R.I.P. 5/1/11))

Oh Mother where have you gone?
What remains is a fragile shell.
Sometimes you shine through.
Timeless in your clarity.
Then you ask me where we are?
Sometimes I see your deep beauty.
I get overwhelmed with the work.
All the details of your life.
Keeping to the vigorous machinations.
Life marches on.
Death is always a cold reminder.
I savour every moment.
I watch your every move.
Miss Kitty is our comic relief.
The cat does not see age.
She longs for pets and love from anyone.
