Oh What A Life

September 11th, 2011 I write this from the desk that my mother gave me. It sat in the front hall of our house in New Jersey for many years. Cherry wood with cubby holes, drawers and a key to a secret hiding place. It's taken a while to get the front three rooms of the house ready to place furniture. Last night was the first night I had a bedroom. I feel so blessed. The house will always be a Shot Gun Shack, but I begin to understand the history and the great aspects of a tiny, old house in a great city. I'm not sure what I'm doing here, but I know it's going to be good.

It looks like a good place to call home.
