Live Love Laugh
Last friday my friend Shyanne and I traveled to Girdwood to set up the KNBA tent for the Punch Brothers show at the Day Lodge at Alyeska. We had a sweet time. The weather cooperated long enough to get the tent up and secured. Then we visited friends who had a baby. We tried many boots on that darling little girl and laughed and cooed. She was a living doll. We stopped at the waterfall and had lunch at the The Turnagain Arm Pit. A newish BBQ restaurant that we really enjoyed. A short road trip filled with life, love and laughter.

Reds
The ocean had it's way.
Fish were flying.
I was tossed like a cookie.
Spit up and smacked down.
The sun came out to soften the blow.
Carried away by the lesson.
Tumbling in the sea.
Humbled by nature.
Smitten by Alaska.
I lost my accessories, but was fully present.
Sand, sun, crazy fun.

Dream Some
The total eclipse of the sun calls me.
I saw one in the 70's with my darling Tai.
We drove to the highest spot we could find in the Gorge.
Above the Columbia River on the Washington side we
caught it as the clouds broke. Shadow snakes danced
across the field and the darkness had a green glow.
I held my boy in my arms. His sweet face and the brilliant
spectacle in the heavens are clear in my minds eye.
The moon passed before the sun and we had no idea
what was to come, but we were happy to be together.
I'm serious in my resolve and today I vow that love will
always be my answer. I shall continue to follow my heart.

Glorious Alaska
Today I teach, climb and create.
As I reflect on the legacy of my life
and family, tears well.
I express myself through painting,
poetry, writing, photography, music,
food, gardening, relationships and
teaching yoga.
The freedom we have to tell a
story and live a beautiful life, is
the privilege of liberty and the pursuit
of happiness.
I walk that path.
My style and presence isn't for everyone.
I exist therefore someone is pissed.
The lesson is to not take it personally.
