I woke this morning and began exploring a new way to love Alaska. The coming dark days and long months are daunting. The intense isolation isn't needed. For years I've traveled here, dug in and embraced the plunging thermometer and slanted sun. It's not necessary to endure that. I can dwell in a softer place. Alaska represents my journey and my adventure in this life. It is a tender spot.
