January 16th, 2025 Fresh Hell

Good Morning AK All The Way

I spoke to Alaska this morning.
We discussed our addictions and fears.
There was promise in our hopeful banter.
I'm fearfull of returning heart ache.
There is clean air and cold mornings.
There is rough stuff and blinding light.
Alaska is like a beautiful woman...
that can kill you.
I want to put the garden in.
I want to climb the mountain.
I want to drive to Point Woronzof and catch the sun setting.
What is the morbid draw?
What fresh hell can entice my senses?
What new part of my heart can be crushed?
I spoke to Alsska this morning.
She said she'd go easy on me.

Alaska Life Augusto 2022

 Alaska Life Augusto 2022

The ghost of my brother dwells here.

Autumn shadows chill with rain and melted frost.

Silence is Alaska's gift, but she can kill you.

The compass points south toward New Orleans.

A decadent world of freaky, fractured, fairy tales.

Polarizing politics buzz in the ether as I simmer, scented stock.

I'm coming home every moment.

Arriving to help.

Leaving to change. That's what I got

May Mash Up (Mississippi Magnolia)

Speak to me Mississippi Magnolia.

Tell me about this southern sweat.

Melting in your creamy moistness.

I’d like to make a bet.

About doing time down here.

I explore your kisses on my lips.

As stars explode in tastes of sweets.

A distant voice I see.

Colorful people I hear.

Deep goodness of the great.

Slave to life Mississippi Magnolia.

So good to know ya.

Daylight still mornings with intoxicating

 jasmine, gardenia and honeysuckle.

Mississippi Magnolia.

Delighted to know ya.

Happily blessed to recognize this

crazy, old place on a bend in the river.

Let’s do it again.

Mississippi Magnolia so glad to know ya.

Mississippi Magnolia so glad to know ya.

Justice is in the Ballot

He will not concede.
We go about our day numb.
Preparing to fight.

Two Hurricanes 8/25/20

Embrace the moment when we're undone.

Ride fear in bold awareness.

Strength within guides our unbreakable whole spirit.

Hot Mess July 2018

I saw your words.
Recognized that longed for voice.
Our connection is palpable.
We do not come from normal.
What could be better?
After all the dalliances, good times and commotion.
Still a lark!
What a life!
Love supreme.
Free, still free.
Sha!

Walk The Length Of Life

Ceiling fan mutters,
"Trusting a magical step,
walk the length of life."
