A Different Alaska by Robin Rosemond

Smokin Arlo Hoffman

Brooklyn & Jersey

I dug Gizam in Newark.
We birthday partied in Union.
Empty storefronts on main street in Springfield.
Roads worn and pot holed in Brooklyn and Jersey.
The family laughs loud and Rose fried Kale.
I smoked with Arlo and Hickory was my guide.
Knitting is high art and dog poop ends up in plastic bags.
Spring comes as jets fly over and snow melts in the garden.
